Cadence's First Day of School

Today was Cadence's first day of 2nd grade. We rushed back from camping, showered and off he went to school. He is growing up so fast!

Camping

Yesterday we went camping at what the Aidukaitis' know as Aspen Grove which is now has a new name. Mom, Dad, Amy, Vaughn, Kaleb, Kyle, Sasha, Shaun, Kyana, Cadence, Easton, and I all went. We played hide and seek, made smores, sang songs, went on a walk and ate a lot. The kids were scared of bears. I said a lot of prayers with Cadence to help him get through the night. It was so fun to go back to the place where I loved to camp when I was young.

Park City

The kids and I took a last minute trip up to Park City on Friday. We go up each summer for a night or two. We spent the night at a hotel and the kids got to swim in the pool. The next morning we went to the outlet stores to see if they had some good back-to-school clothes for the boys....not much there but it was fun...for me. After we went down the Alpine Slides. Cadence went down by himself for the first time and Easton went with me. We went out to lunch too. It was fun.

More pictures from the party.

Cadence's 7th Birthday Party

Cadence had his friend birthday party on the 11th of August. He had a pirate party this year. It was a lot of work but I think it was a big success with the 12 kids that were there! We started with a treasure hunt which the kids LOVED. Then we had waterballoon games and played on the slip-n-slide. The kids play pin the treasure on the map and killed the cute treasure chest pinata. Then we all had cake and ice cream and opened presents. I droped the cute pirate cake on the way in the house, I was SO mad at myself but Cadence was so sweet about it. He is such a cute kid. The cake wasn't as cute after but it was ok. Well, I hope you enjoy some pictures of the party.

Why I had a dirty face....

Ok, I guess I should have explained why my face was so dirty on my four wheeling trip. We had goggles and a helmet so the only part of my face was showing was my nose area. I was the last one in the line of the group so I got all the dirt that the other four wheelers stired up. Everyone was laughing at me and so we took pictures. It was such a fun trip. I do have a great friend for sure.
