Happy 9th Birthday Cadence!

Cadence turned 9 on Saturday! Wow he is getting so big! He is such a great kid. He is so helpful and loving. I couldn't ask for a better kid! I am also so blessed because he get along really well with his little brother Easton. I remember lying in bed with Cadence watching him sleep when he was first born. I remember thinking that I didn't want him to get to be 6 months old because then he wouldn't be a baby anymore! Despite what Cadence thinks, he will ALWAYS be my baby!

We had two parties for him on Saturday. We had a friend party in the afternoon. The party went really well and was a lot of fun for the kids.

First the kids made tornado bottles.

Next, we made marshmallow guns! These were a big hit! The kids tried to hit targets and had a "war" at the end of the party.

Next we did the pinata. Cadence broke the pinata stick on the first hit! You can see the broken piece flying in this picture!

We had cake and ice cream next.

Later that evening we had a family party. My brother and two sisters came with their families to celebrate! We have a ton of extra cake!


Cadence got an air soft gun for his birthday. This took a lot of begging on his part but he LOVES it! Him and his cousin Adam shot their guns every chance they got! Goggles are a must!

The 4th of July!

The kids and I were lucky enough to go back to Utah for the 4th of July! We had a great time. If you have not been to Provo for the 4th of July you need to try it! It is the best place to be during this time of year.

The festivities started out with watching the hot air balloons rise. There are so many, it is really fun to watch. We had to get up early to see them but it was worth it!

That night we went to the fair at the court house on Center Street. The kids had a blast riding the "Tornado" ride. They got it to spin really fast! We were all surprised they didn't get sick!

Cadence and Easton got balloon hats and a bow and arrow! What lucky kids!

The next morning, the 4th of July, we went to the Provo parade. I have gone every year since i can remember. I loved it then and my kids love it now!

Then that night we went, as usual, to the lawn in front of the Provo Temple to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks. I think this is my kids favorite part of the 4th!

We had a great trip! It was fun to be back in Provo. I have never been away from Provo for this long! I loved our time back "home" and so did the kids!

Flying Away

It's been a whole week since my kids left me to go back to Utah to visit their dad and my parents. I miss them so much! I had to share the cute pictures of them at the airport. They were so excited to go....I cried....what's new.....

House Guest

On Wednesday we got a house guest. Sarunas made Arizona his last stop on his way back to Lithuania. He has been staying with my parents while he completed his senior year of high school in Provo, Utah. Last night we ended up having a little "Rock Band" party. My sister Karla came over to join in the fun!

Yesterday we went to Sedona, Arizona. It was beautiful. My sister Alisa and her kids Ashleigh and Spencer and Spencer's friend came with us. We went to Slick Rock and played in the water. The water was FREEZING but it was warm out and we had fun anyways!

On our way back home we stopped by a little store about UFO's. Easton LOVED seeing this UFO they had outside. He couldn't stop talking about it on our long drive home. The UFO was really junky but to a five year old it looked authentic!

It was a fun day!

Can We Go Swimming Yet?

A few days ago we decided we would go swimming the next day to beat some of the Arizona heat and have some fun. Easton was so excited this is how I found him when I went to check on the boys before I went to bed. I LOVE MY BOYS!
